Driver's licence & Additional driver:
Driver's licence A full licence held for minimum of 1 years with no major endorsements. UK licence holders need to present the photocard. If your driver's licence is not in the Roman alphabet (i.e. if it is in Arabic, Greek, Cyrillic or Chinese) you are required to bring an International Driving Permit and your domestic licence. For driving licenses from countries not part of the international driving license treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license. When renting within the EU, customers who do not hold a driving licence issued by an EU/EEA country or Switzerland must also present an International Driving Permit along with their domestic licence. Additional driver Additional drivers can be added to your rental for a charge of 9.84 EUR per day. Maximum 98.4 EUR. Includes 23% tax. Please pay for additional drivers at the rental desk when picking up your vehicle.

Driver's age
25 to 99 years.
Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to hire a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.
Travel Restrictions
Cross Border: Please note that a border crossing fee of 36.60 € (including tax) per rental will apply when travelling abroad.
Hertz vehicles cannot be driven into and/or dropped off in any African, Asian or Middle-East countries, nor in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia (Kosovo area), Turkey, Ukraine or any island.
Hertz vehicles may be driven into but not dropped in*: Andorra, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Finland, Montenegro, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Serbia (except Kosovo) and UK.
*specific vehicle groups only.
Should these restrictions be ignored all insurance (Third Party Liability, CDW, TP, PAI), if accepted, shall be deemed, null and void. The driver will be held fully responsible in case of accidents and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle.
Optional extras:
Only available at Lisbon, Faro and Porto Airports. If the Return location of the equipment is different from the pick-up location the customer will have to pay 50,00 €.
